About
ALTERNATIVE - POP, ELECTRO-POP, DARK POP
With thanks to her soft and unique vocals, the London-born Turkish pop artist is here to bring a new sound to the music scene.
With her bilingual debut single in 2022 ‘Sun Goes Down’ reaching 11K+ streams on Spotify, and the acoustic version reaching 10K+ streams on Soundcloud and 100K+ views on Instagram reels overnight, the independent artist followed up her release with playful yet sinful track ‘Holy Flames’ in 2023 giving her a spot on the shortlist for a female-led vampire arthouse movie soundtrack. With her latest single ‘X’, (10K on Spotify) the talented creative has featured on QH Sound’s Unsigned album Volume II which has been distributed in record shops across the UK, including locations such as Rough Trade East, HMV and Banquet Records.
NOX’s debut live performance took place at Izmir Arena’s CityFest in 2022 as the only female artist of the line-up during which she supported the famous rock band Duman, sharing a stage with renowned Turkish artists including Mabel Matiz and Mor ve Ötesi.
Alongside her artist project, NOX is also a successful songwriter collaborating internationally with the likes of Sony’s BMG, GL Music, Roasting House and Spitfire Audio after receiving a scholarship to study a master’s degree in Commercial Songwriting and Music Production at Tileyard London. Prior to this, having completed a BA in Spanish and Arabic from the University of Leeds, and with her past education in the French, German and Portuguese languages, NOX’s multilingual skills and cultural awareness have shaped the artist she has become today proving her artistic work has no boundaries.
Best describing her music as “the brighter side of dark pop” NOX perfectly blends her passion for melancholic and eerie sounds with up-tempo electronic instrumentation injected with Turkish vibes creating a sonic pop blend fuelled by her upbringing.
Alongside signing BMG’s first bilingual Turkish/English track ‘Gel Buraya’, upcoming projects for NOX include Turkish language albums for TV and Film in collaboration with Netflix Turkey together with producer Can Tosun, as well as continuing to release music independently. NOX will be taking the stage at various venues across London this Autumn as well as performing live on BBC Radio South East.
